ABOUT US

2ND CHANCE SPORTS WAS FOUNDED

by Cameron Palomin in 2019 as a 501(c) non profit organization in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas. After his graduation, Courtney Palomin officially stepped in to continue efforts towards the goal of 2nd Chance Sports. 2nd Chance Sports began as an ideology that every child should have the opportunity to learn a new skill, regardless of financial constraints. 2nd Chance Sports offers that opportunity. 

 

We provide an avenue for children to receive gently used sports equipment through donation inventory in order to give children a chance to be exposed to various sports with no fee incurred by the requesting student. 2nd Chance Sports will acquire gently used equipment from the surrounding community, inspect that equipment, and offer the items to elementary, middle school, and high school students in the South Texas region.

MISSION STATEMENT

Our mission at 2nd Chance Sports, through used sports equipment and sports equipment donations, is to ensure every young boy and girl has exposure to different sports, regardless of financial constraints, and have equal opportunities to learn, play and compete.

HOW TO HELP

Contact us today to learn more about positively impacting the lives of young athletes in the Rio Grande Valley. We will be holding drive fairs periodically. Equipment donations can be any kind of lightly used team or individual sporting equipment, and all used sports equipment donations are by appointment only.

EQUIPMENT DONATIONS

Footwear, sport accessories, bats, basketballs, baseballs, footballs, tennis balls, golf clubs, tennis racquets, or anything that may be of use in a sport setting for UIL-related sports.

MONETARY DONATIONS

We will be accepting any cash donations through PayPal or any equipment donations through our physical location, by appointment only.
